De.Fi.Info 2/2 December Updates

Table of Contents

Salute, farmers!

Even though there were holidays in the second part of December, I rolled up my sleeves and did a lot of work — improved UI & UX and even implemented new functionality into De.Fi.

Moreover, I have been developing the cross-chain Investing Dashboard for you to farm in a more efficient way which is going to be released… 🥁 by the end of January!

Let me introduce the 2/2 December updates.

The 1/2 December update can be reached at this link.

🆕 UI & UX improvements

To cut the long story short, I slightly improved the UI & UX of the De.Fi.Info by adding informational messages to the Approved Contracts, Cancel & Speedup Ethereum transactions, and Gas Cost tracker tools to make it crystal clear why and how they should be used.

Check out our book about DeFi on Amazon!

Moreover, almost every page was refined, and I fixed numerous issues for the mobile version so that users can navigate De.Fi with ease and pleasure.

For instance, from now on, the New label is displayed next to the recently added features, tools and pools.

🏆 Earnings and Rewards Overview

The Earnings and Rewards Overview section has been redesigned.

Control is power. Keep tracking estimated earnings, monitor how much claimable rewards are available for each pool you staked into in a new more comfortable and informative way.

Merely navigate to the De.Fi main page and connect your wallet to access the detailed Earnings and Rewards info.

⚠️ Scam Database

I continue tracking scam projects and adding them to the Yield Farming Scam Database to keep you informed and leave the scammers with zero.

Yield farming is still vulnerable and lots of fraudulent platforms show up on a regular basis.

We need to be fully armed to confront them and get them out of our way.

📑 New pool and vaults

The Traphouse DRUGS/WBNB pool and various Beefy vaults have been integrated into de.fi.info with the corresponding APY, ROI, token prices and risk level data.

Currently, 110+ pools & vaults of safe and popular projects are listed on Defi Yield Info. So, you could find numerous options to invest in.

📕 New Audits

I keep conducting detailed audits of projects’ smart contracts to make sure they are safe, secure and designed in an appropriate way.

In essence, I provide an opportunity for you to get familiar with smart contract risks, potential issues and backdoors of a project to avoid unwanted consequences before investing.

📃 Audits page

Also, the new filter has been developed into the Audits page to be able to strain Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain projects.

Navigate to Guides & Tools => Information => Audits to look through the reviewed projects and corresponding risk levels.

🚫 Approved Contracts

The Approved Contracts tool has been redesigned to look more intuitive and user-friendly.

In short, the tool provides control over approved ERC20 tokens. The point is that after a token is approved, DApp (or its admin) can transfer an unlimited number of particular tokens without any further confirmation. Once approved, the token allowance remains forever until declined. If you aren’t confident in a specific DApp, modify the approved amount of tokens allowed to be transferred or completely decline the allowance.

⛽ Gas Cost Tracker

Gas fees are an integral part of any blockchain, hence, yield farming expenses you should control. Get familiar with the statistics on how much gas you spend and transaction average gas cost with the help of Gas Cost Tracker.

Moreover, I have added new functionality to track top miners and detailed info regarding various categories, such as Cheapest/Highest Gas Price, Total Transactions info, Median Gas Price, and more.

⌛ Timelock Contract Viewer

Timelock contracts differ from others in that their transitions are executed with a specific delay to eliminate counterparty risk. Some teams implement the Timelock contracts in their yield farming projects. To stay up to date and safe (depending on the timelock allowance), you must track functions invoked in a particular timelock by its admin. However, it is not clear for the average user how to deal with it, follow the transactions and delays, etc.

From now on, it is as easy as a pie. Get detailed info concerning timelock minimum/maximum delay, admin address and each transaction ‘decoding’ by using a new tool called Timelock Contract Viewer implemented in De.Fi Info. Don’t mention it! 🙃

🤝 Partnerships

I keep working on building partnerships with reliable and safe projects to improve the yield farming environment.

This time I decided to work in conjunction with the 88mph and FryWorld projects. I encourage you to check them out!
